PUTTING NATURAL PATTERNS INTO ACTION

Applied agroecology is within everyone's reach

On the left is a photograph juxtaposing my first forest garden (only a year old!) with typical suburban landscape management in the United States back in mid-April 2012.

Within a matter of months I was able to learn, design, and begin implementing the basic building blocks of a forest garden. I believe that we all have the ability to read nature's patterns and design beautiful & productive systems. Here I will share different projects and hopefully inspire you to start your own!

Lill-Nägels Agroforestry Pilot Project

The Lill-Nägels Agroforestry Pilot Project is managed by Novia University of Applied Sciences and funded by Uusimaa's Rural Development Fund (EU), Stiftelsen Finlandsvenska Jordfonden, and Novia UAS. I work as the project manager for Novia. As such, the project is *not* connected to Finch Agroecology, however, I wish to highlight it here as it is my primary occupation for 2023.
